The role of the Association

Most biographies of people who have achieved something in life, usually begin with information on the place of birth and about their parents. This is not surprising, because exactly the area and closest people form interests and character of each of us. A person growing without parents is very often unprepared for life with its difficulties.

Only in a family one can bring up a mature child, so the state should strongly help people who want to raise the children, deprived of maternal warmth by a twist of fate. But now not only children, but also adoptive parents themselves need help. The main obstacles that hinder the development of family-type children's houses are flawed legislation that restricts the transfer of children from public schools to a family, unresolved housing and financial problems, lack of qualified social workers.

According to parents' opinion, the process of creation of foster families should be accelerated, orphanages should be eliminated and children should be transferred to families that wish to educate them.

"The new non-governmental All-Ukrainian NGO "Association-My family" is called to help people facing different challenges while raising up adopted kids and to make amendments to existing legislation in this area."

It is a difficult social issue. This is a solution of not only a demographic problem. This is a SOLUTION OF A MAJOR SOCIAL DIVISION.

This is the first association of the kind in Ukraine!

The role of the association include the following functions:

• First, to unite all families.
• Secondly, to help in obtaining financial resources.
• This association should join forces and help at least those people who have decided to take the kids, on the first stage.
• Thirdly, generation of a common policy: foster-parents do not have to fight with the ministry. They must work together, rightly dividing the budget resources, fairly submit bills and make common decisions. Because the association is an independent body which should make policy together with the ministry.
• And fourthly, a dialogue is very important for these people. This is a socio-political platform to solve one of the biggest crises - CHILDREN WITHOUT FUTURE.

The organization must be based on three core principles: family, education and religion.

The organization cannot exist without money , and the state has no money, we have to attract businessmen.
